The Two Giants Of The Fat Burning Diets

The reality is that there are plenty of people out there that desperately need to lose weight.  Some people might need to trim a few pounds here and there, while other people might have to lose a lot of weight or else face some rather grim prospects.  Whatever your situation happens to be there is no shortage of fat burning diets out there to chose from.

Many of these diets offer different things to different people so unfortunately there is not a one size fits all when it comes to these types of diets.  However, most of these diets will fall into two very distinct categories. The main goal of fat burning diets is to get the body to feed off the existing fat that you have and to this end, there are a few different ways to go about this.

One very popular approach is the low carbohydrate diet. The basic tenets of this diet are that when the body takes in carbohydrates it breaks these down into sugars.  These sugars are then burned by the body for fuel.  While there is an abundant intake of carbohydrates, the body will never burn fat for fuel.  By eliminating all but the necessary carbohydrates, specifically those that are derived from fiber, it is believed that the body will burn fat instead broken down carbohydrates.

The next type of diet is the low calorie diet.  The process by which a body burns calories can be very complicated for most people to understand so in simple terms, calories equal energy to the body.  However, fat is also a great source of energy for the body.  For that reason when you limit the amount of calories you eat each day with lower amounts of food, over time your body will begin to burn the excess fat as fuel rather than the calories you take in.

However, one thing that you must remember about these fat burning diets is that once the fat is off, you will need to increase your caloric intake.  Since you have depleted your excess fat, your body will need fuel for not only exercise but for normal day to day living.

When it comes to fat burning diets there are too many to mention here.  While most diets of this nature will employ one of these two different methods, the variations on these two themes are endless and if you have search for a diet recently you will agree.  However, with these types of diets success can be reached.  Just remember that losing weight is not just about the scales, it is about creating a healthier way of eating and living.  That living will help you shed pounds and will help you to healthier and hopefully happier as well.
